This section is my take on the CCS series... in another dimension, of
sorts. It's the section where I ask, "What if...?" What if Kero-chan was a tiny bug? What if Shaolan and Kero-chan were
stuck in each other's bodies forever? What if Sakura's mother never
died? What if
Eriol and Tomoyo fell in love? What if Kaho and Touya hit it off when she returned to
Tomoeda? Hmmm? Would CCS be the same as it is now?
I shouldn't have to mention something this
blaringly obvious, but there are spoilers scattered all
over this section. I was originally going to try and split up things
into a spoiler section and a spoiler-free section, but that would've just
been an useless amount of confusion for the both of us. So if you haven't seen the whole series, or if you don't want to
spoil yourself, I suggest going other places.

What if Nadeshiko never died?

Well, this one's somewhat of a toughie. If Nadeshiko never died,
then Sakura would've been able to know her better. Perhaps Sakura's
family and Tomoyo's family would still have better relations. Sakura
would most likely had have some music lessons, like Touya. Sonomi
would be constantly battling with Fujitaka for her affections during
family gatherings. Overall, Sakura might have grown up in an
atmosphere with a bit more of a feminine touch, but it wouldn't have
made too much of a significance to the Clow Cards. But wait... let's
take a deeper look into this. Sakura grows up more feminine, she is
a much better cook. Touya can't tease her anymore. And then... and
then... Sakura won't ever turn into a monster and stomp down the
stairs, and through this twist of fate, an alien civilization in the
far reaches of the galaxy will be alerted (since Sakura not being a
monster is such a shocking thing...) and they will come and try to
take over the earth! But then Sakura would use the Big card
and battle them, and truly be turned into her monstrous state,
driving them away. Then Touya will have a reason to call Sakura a
monster again, and the world will once again be in harmony.

-
What if Nadeshiko and Fujitaka never met?

Well, that's simple. Touya, nor Sakura would've been born. Then the
Clow Cards would've never been released, Kero-chan would forever
sleep in the basement (if the same basement ever even existed
anymore, considering the fact that if the two parents didn't meet,
they didn't buy the house with the book in it) and CCS wouldn't even
exist. Then aliens would take over. And this time there would be no
Sakura the monster to save us all from it!

-
What if Sakura never opened the seal on the
book?

Kero-chan will forever stay sleeping and snoring in the basement of
Sakura's house, how sad! And then his snoring will get louder and
louder and louder and louder until it causes a gigantic earthquake
which splits the earth into two! And then, aliens from the far
reaches of the next galaxy will smell the great minerals and
resources in the core of the earth, and they will take over.

-
What if Touya opened the seal instead?

Card Captor Touya dressed up in frilly pink outfits, anyone?

-
What if Kero-chan was a giant pink bunny?

He wouldn't know any dignity. And he would have to cramp up in the
basement, because giant bunnies can't go around rampaging on the
streets. But the good side of it is that if Shaolan ever insulted
him, Kero-chan could just stomp on him, instead of biting his
finger. :P And he would scare all potential alien takeovers because
he was just too cute and pink for them all to handle.

-
What if Shaolan fell in love with Sakura the
first time he saw her?

No glaring at Sakura. No I-Want-Yuki's-Affection fights with Sakura.
How dull! Would we all really and truly want that? ¬¬ Or maybe it
would be amusing in that he would spend the whole season running
away from Sakura, instead of just the third season. :P And then he
and Touya would get into a lot more fights, because Touya is super
protective of Sakura. Even more than he's protective of Yukito, I
would imagine. Though he is pret~ty protective of them both... poor
Shaolan, he's always in such a pinch by the protective older brother
type. :P

-
What if Sakura never fell in love with Yukito?

Then it would give Shaolan a great CHANCE-UU!! Unless, of course,
Shaolan still fell in "love" with Yuki in the first
season. Then Sakura would be left alone, because Shaolan would be
chasing Yukito, and she wouldn't have anyone to chase. Oh wait! That
might also give Tomoyo a chance-uu for Sakura's affections! Or
Eriol! Or... or... anyone, really. If Sakura wasn't completely ga-ga
over Yukito, then her options would be quite open. :P And a lot more
people would have a chance of being a couple with her. And then that
would make quite a lot of crazy fanfic writers happy.

-
What if Yukito returned Sakura's feelings?

Oh mah gawd. I don't even want to think about it. o.o; Can anyone
say, pedophile? -_-; That would be quite scary. I can't imagine
Yukito ever falling in love with Sakura because he's so
older-brother type. And he is way too much older for her. But then
again, we have the whole Terada-sensei and Rika thing going on, and
the whole Kaho and Eriol thing also... ¬¬;; But! If Yukito
returned Sakura's feelings, it would be super bad, because Touya
would be heartbroken! And poor Touya, being heartbroken for another
time, will never love again~! Hell, he might even be so weakened by
his loss of Yukito that he might *gasp* be seduced by Nakuru! And
that would be such a wrong turn of events that fate will knock over
a molding bowl of Jell-O (which just happened to be alive) and it
would go around terrorizing the whole world! KYAAA~!!

-
What if Sakura didn't win the Last Judgment?

Oh my. o.o; That would be quite depressing. I think the most
depressing thing would be that Yamazaki and Chiharu won't like each
other anymore. Because they're one of those couples that you can't
IMAGINE being without each other. ¬¬;; If they no longer liked
each other, the world would spin off its axis and spiral into the
flaming hot sun! Shaolan wouldn't like Sakura anymore, and he would
go back to Hong Kong like normal, living out the rest of his life,
most likely being married to Meiling. But then... if Meiling's most
important feeling is gone, then she would no longer love Shaolan.
Therefore, the engagement would most likely be off. And Yukito
wouldn't even exist anymore... no more hanyaaan~! Sakura, no more
awesome moments between him and Touya... and of course, no more
Kero-chan! And no more Yue! And that would be absolutely dreadful.
In total, it's a damn good thing Sakura was destined to win from the
very beginning. x_x;
-
What if Yukito knew about Yue all along?

Then Yue wouldn't really need a fake identity, would he? o.O; I
mean, just dress the guy up in some human clothes, give him some
shoes... uhm... hide the wings...? and voila! You've got an almost
normal human! O_o; Then again, maybe that wouldn't be such a good
idea. ¬¬;; Let's rethink this, shall we? If Yukito knew about Yue
from the very beginning, I would imagine he would talk to himself a
lot. And then people would give him strange looks, thinking he's schizophrenic,
because he would be talking to his alter identity in his head. I
wonder what kind of conversations they would have.
-
Yue: Has Sakura caught all the cards
yet?
-
Yukito: I don't think so. *smile*
-
Yue: She should hurry up. It's cramped
in here.
-
Yukito: Why, are you worried about
her? *knowing smile*
-
Yue: Of course not. *glare*
And then, there would be the issue of Touya!
-
Yukito: Good morning, To-ya!
-
Touya: Morning, Yuki.
-
Yue: Hands off, he's mine.
-
Yukito: Tough luck, you're only a
voice, aren't you?
-
Yue: *glare*
Then again, perhaps the two would be at peace
with each other. I mean, they are the same person when you
really think about it. :P Besides, they're fine with each other in
the third season, when Yukito knows about Yue and they both talk to
each other, and he can transform on will. I think that if Yukito
knew about Yue from the very beginning, the two would probably be
merged into each other as one person, with two forms. Because
if Yukito knew about the cards and Yue, there would be no
reason to have his memories blocked out when he transforms into Yue.
It's just fun to imagine what kinds of conversations they would
have. :P
-
What if Yue had the same reaction to sweets as
Suppi?

Imagine a Yue high off of crack. Yes, that would be what you would
get. In fact, now that I think about it, that would be extremely
amusing. I mean, as much as I love Yue and all... seeing him
extremely hyper would be quite something. o_O; Flying around,
rampaging, eating all the sweets and everything in sight. Then he
would fight over all the cake with Kero-chan, and eventually they
would get into a huge battle of the fates, over the cake. And they
would wreak havoc, while throwing all kinds of attacks all over the
place. And then Sakura would have to interfere and get in between
them, and stop them before they destroy all of Tokyo by giving
them... coffee. Decaf. So the bitter taste and smell will subdue
them both, until they beg for mercy from the coffee! Then she will
reward them with cakes (because she is always very kind), and it
will start all over again.
-
What if Sakura was a complete airhead?

Yue wouldn't be able to stand her, first of all. :P He has no
patience for airheads whatsoever. But then again, she probably
wouldn't ever meet Yue, because she wouldn't be able to capture all
the cards. -.-; Sakura and Kero-chan would fight all the time, and
Kero-chan's hairs will all turn gray because she gives him too much
stress. :P And then eventually, he will turn bald. Poor Kero-chan.
What a sad fate.
-
What if Shaolan truly loved Meiling?

He would go to Hong Kong after all the Clow Card business was over,
like usual. And then they would get married, like normal. Then
Shaolan would most likely take over the Li clan, and all that jazz.
And who knows what would happen to Sakura. She would most likely
confess to Yukito (to be turned down) and then wait a few more years
before maybe... perhaps... if at all... finding someone else meant
for her. Hey, it might even give Tomoyo a chance to confess and tell
Sakura of her true feelings!
-
What if Kero-chan and the Cards were
discovered by the general public?

Sakura would become famous, of course! She would be idolized as the
Card Captor saving all the world from the devastation of the cards!
Every time a card would attack, news reporters and crowds would rush
to the scene, and narrate along with what happened, as if it was
some big action movie. And then there'd be dolls, video games, all
kinds of toys made after them. However, Sakura would have to have a
disguise in order to keep herself save from the mobs of fans. And
there would be so many toys donated to her, Kero-chan, and the
cards, that she wouldn't be able to tell the real Kero-chan from the
Talking Kero-chan Stuffed Doll™. There'd be religious cults to Yue
all over Japan, and not to mention! Many, many, many Sakura posers!
XD They would all go around dressed up in frilly, cheap costumes,
trying to catch Sakura wherever she goes. And she'd have lots of
stalkers... so Shaolan would have to protect her from them all. So
would Touya. XD And she'd be a super hero all over! Woohoo!

Of course, that is only one single outcome. The other one would be,
the world would react in fear! They would hear of the disaster that
would befall the world with the Clow Cards, and in would come the
navy, the army, and all the pink bunnies. Because people are
generally stupid, they will overlook the fact that Sakura is the
only one who will be able to stop the world from the disaster, and
take it into their own hands. They would fire their weapons, but it
would be no good. And then a secret organization would be set up,
everything swirling completely out of Sakura's hands! The secret
organization would be called CCNERV (Clow Card NERV) and it would
come up with a giant mecha called the SWM (Sealing Wand Mecha- a
giant mecha in the shape of the sealing wand) where only specified
pilots would be able to move around. And then CCS would swirl out of
control into a depressing, psychologically challenging anime which
would make the minds of all the kids watching it spin around and
around and around and around and around... @_@;
-
What if Sakura fell into the Pokemon world?

All of her experience with the Clow Cards will make it extremely
easy for her to catch all the Pokemon in the world, and soon she
will take over, only to become the evil dark mistress of all the
lands~!! How will Sakura ever become evil, you ask? Well, all the
Pokemon she caught will boost up her vanity, and she will soon
become spoilt! Then her evil cackling will call upon the aliens in
the far reaches of the galaxy (who had earlier run away from the
Earth because of the giant pink bunny Kero-chan) will come and take
over the Pokemon world, finally rid of the giant pink bunny
Kero-chan.
-
What if Tomoyo created a motion picture film with
all her recordings?

Poor Sakura and Shaolan would blush the whole time, and wouldn't be
able to watch it, because they're so bashful. :P And because their
"scenes" together will all be on tape. Tomoyo would just
laugh her "Oh ho ho!" evil laugh. Yukito would like it
because it would be another chance to eat food and celebrate, while
Touya would be kind of pissed about it, and glare at the screen the
whole time, going, "I didn't do that! Damn, that brat!"
(Talking about Shaolan, of course), Fujitaka will be kind of
surprised that he's in a motion picture film, as he was mostly
clueless about everything having to do with the Clow Cards, and
Sakura's classmates will be in awe, thinking what amazing actors
Sakura and Shaolan are. :P And what will the general public think?
Why, all the action will just be stunts and special effects, dontcha
know?
-
What if all the Clow Card business happened while
Sakura and her friends were all in high school?

Ohhh~! What a bundle of treasure for fan fiction writers everywhere
that would be! It would be too much for those with an over active
imagination. :P Perhaps we would even see Shaolan and Sakura share a
kiss-uu!
-
What if Sakura was never able to convert all the
cards to Sakura Cards?

Good night Tomoeda, and sleep tight. :P
-
What if Eriol and Kaho never met in England?

Kaho would never have gotten the bell that
was required to give Sakura a second chance in the Last Judgment.
And you know what that means! Sakura would never have a second
chance, therefore everyone's memories of their most loved ones would
be erased. She would've lost the Last Judgment. Then where would our
CCS be? In a dark back alley in New York, searching through trash
cans for fish bones. That's where it would be, my friends.
