Like Ruby Moon is Yue's counterpart, Spinel Sun is the counterpart of Kereberus. The two of them look alike in both of their forms, but with opposite color tones and personalities. While Kero-chan is bright and perky (his color gold), Suppi is apathetic, sarcastic and mellow, his color a deep, calm purplish blue. Spinel Sun is absolutely adorable when in his normal form and Nakuru has dubbed him a fitting, "Suppi."

Suppi is often seen lazing around Eriol's house. We assume that he doesn't get out much, simply because the kid is so incredibly mellow and laid back that he doesn't really have the urge to go out and find something adventurous to do. He's there whenever Eriol needs him, and in his transformed form (he becomes a large, navy panther with a blue gem on his forehead), his power is equal to that of Kero's. He hates being teased and often shoots back sarcastic retorts whenever Nakuru makes fun of him. The two are quite opposites, Nakuru and Suppi. Nakuru adores to have fun with Suppi by tricking him (feeding him sweet stuff) while Suppi is driven mad by her because he can only take so much of the perky bubbliness. If Suppi had any form of temper, I'm sure Eriol's house would've been demolished by the fights that the two would've had. However, as easy-going as Suppi is, he usually doesn't respond to Nakuru's energy other than making some sharp comment, then letting it slide.

Suppi is definitely a creature of extremes. How so, you ask? While normally he's extremely down to earth and laid back, when he consumes sweets, candy, chocolate, cake, or anything of that like, he goes out of control. You don't want to be caught in the path of a rabid Suppi after he's eaten candy. When Suppi eats something sweet, because he loves it so incredibly much, he loses all sense of himself and proceeds to consume every other sweet thing in sight. He cannot stop eating sweets once he begins. Only later when he's either passed out due to eating way too much or someone has miraculously managed to stop him does he calm back down.

Suppi is terribly ashamed of this character trait. He hates not being in control of everything and cannot stand thinking about how much of a psycho he must have been while he was high off the sweets. He likes to bury those incidents and never mention them again once they're over.

Of course, the mere thought of having Kero-chan and Suppi together is quite something. While Kero is laid back all around and adores sweets, eating them all the time, when Suppi actually meets him, the two can't help but both start eating sweets. And when Suppi begins eating, he of course cannot stop. Therefore ensues an outrageous battle of the wits for the remaining sweets on the plate -- especially for the last piece. The two make quite a couple.

Suppi has even less screen time than Nakuru. The little kid is simply adorable. Even when he's his normal, mellow, sarcastic self, it's hard not to want to see more of him throughout the third season. It would be highly amusing if Suppi and Kero-chan (and co.) were able to get together more often, as the few times Kero and Suppi do get together, chaos ensues. Suppi is one of those characters that could be expanded on more but the anime doesn't leave enough screen time for him so he ends up kind of a shadow, pushed away into the Kero-chan specials that aren't part of the TV series. Then again, the fact that Suppi is seen so little is also a personality trait in itself: he's not much of a spotlight lover. When he doesn't want to deal with something, he'll sulk off and won't be seen again for a good while. Floating off and lurking in the shadows is his way to be, and the anime reflects this accordingly.
